Hyme's MOSS Project: Pioneering Green Energy Storage

In the quest for a greener future, innovation is the driving force. Hyme's MOSS project (MOlten Salts Storage) is a testament to this spirit, and SubC Partner is proud to be a vital part of it.

Ask Emil Løvschall-Jensen, CEO of Hyme, aptly describes it, "The MOSS project is a crucial milestone for Hyme. It will demonstrate that our innovative energy storage solution can be built using readily avaliable components that established players in the industry have the expertise to design and manufacture. A strong supply chain capable of delivering at scale is critical for the succesful commercialization of the technologies that can accelerate the green transition."

This project, in collaboration with partners from Denmark and Europe, is set to build the world's first molten hydroxide energy storage plant in Esbjerg. It's not just about innovation; it's about making it practical.

The ambition is to store green electricity generated by wind turbines for up to 14 days, making it available for use during high-demand periods. This innovation could potentially result in a massive annual reduction of up to 110,000 tons of CO2 in a full-scale project.

SubC Partner is thrilled to contribute to this ambitious journey, delivering two essential Inconel tanks for energy storage in molten salt. It's all about pioneering the future of renewable energy, one innovation at a time.
