Modification of 40 m gangway

A fast track EPC-project

In the spring of 2019, SubC Partner was rewarded an EPC contract for modification of a 40m steel gangway.

The aim of the project was to modify and upgrade the gangway so it could conduct landings at TP foundations when the vessel is jacked up.

SubC arranged the transportation of the gangway, and it arrived at our workshop in Esbjerg. Split into two pieces of 20 metres. Each sector consists of 10-meter pieces – The Gangway was assembled at the premises and done ready to perform a load test.

As a solution, our production fabricated a landing foot, an elevated trolly, and two times lifting arrangement, as it wasn’t a part of the original design. After a successful new load test, the gangway was handed over to a pleased customer. This project was done as a fast track project, which is a SubC speciality.
