Weld & Injection project
Ensuring a long lifetime.
As a part of our weld & epoxy injection project at the Culzean platforms in the UK, uninstalling seals on one caisson is ongoing after successful epoxy injection, as seen in the picture below.
Now, more caissons, encircled in blue, has been filled with the special epoxy mixture, specifically developed for this job to ensure the fulfilment of customers requirement. Also, the left guide had reinforcement steel welded into the present steel design due to change of requirements.
One guide is being prepared by the installation of wedges and reinforcement net, encircled in red, ready for sealing and injection.
SubC initiated the full project in 2018.
In short; Total discovered movements of several caissons within the support guides and SubC were contacted to develop a solution.
